the ministry of magic oversees the workings of the magical world within britain and functions, also, to prevent the discovery of witches and wizards by muggles. its headquarters are located in london and it contains a large collection of offices in which witches and wizards work to aid those around them. departments include: the department of magical games and sports, the department of magical accidents and catastrophies, the department of international magical cooperation, the department of magical law enforcement, the department for improper use of magic, the magical law enforcement squad, the misuse of muggle artifacts office, department of magical transportation, the department for the regulation and control of magical creatures, as well as the department of mysteries.
